On this page, I’m going to explore the use of process and technology to create and enhance NFTs.
Stage One – Hello World
I’m not a crazy, wicked graphic artist so I’ll need to rely heavily on the fundamentals, and produce simple yet eye-catching NFTs. My initial goal is to produce animated objects initially 2D and then branch out to 3D. Lofty goals?
Adobe Animate
A powerful tool, just getting accustomed to its capabilities. I’m producing immature animations that I could have done 10x nicer in MS PowerPoint but my desired output is not a PowerPoint presentation, it’s an NFT. Regardless, my current output NFTs look like they were produced by a 4th-grade art student with dull crayons.
Not sure if it’s my lack of creativity or my deficiency in my ability to execute. The latter can be taught, the former is a big-picture struggle.
Paint.Net
I was first introduced to this application in 2011 by a talented graphics artist working at the Associated Press (AP). Amazing product, and free to boot. So far, I have not encountered anything I cannot do with this tool.
Blender
Free, and Open Source. Well, moving on for now…
Adobe After Effects 2022
Adobe has feature-rich products and a library of “how-tos” which are in most cases required for novice users. Although somewhat intuitive, I’d highly suggest going through the tutorials.
